TDM1 advice?
I found some new lumps near my mastectomy scar a couple of weeks ago that seemed to suddenly appear. The surgeon wasn’t overly concerned but decided to biopsy them out if an abundance of caution. And you guessed it, more of the same. She took 6 more biopsies from across my chest yesterday to see if it is widespread or local to those new bumps and ordered all the usual staging scans. So the herceptin and perjeta kept it at bay for 6 months and on Monday I’ll move to tdm1. I’m just in shock. It looks like it will get me in the end, we’re just slowing it as best we can.
I was going to start working again and I wonder if anyone has any advice on what it’s like on tdm1? How sick/fatigued did it make you? I would like to be bringing some money in to the household while I still can. I worry about how my family will manage without me holding the purse strings. My husband is great but money management is not his strong suit.
