Taxotere
Happy New Year everyone.
I have finished my 3 rounds of FEC, and am due to start taxotere on the 12th Jan.
Can anyone give me advice?

Hi Maxene, I had AC chemo back in 2009 and this time am having Docetaxal (also known as Taxotere). In my experience, Docetaxal (or Taxotere) is nowhere near as heavy going as the AC chemo. I havent had the side effects that i had with AC...that stuff nearly KILLED me! The high energy levels are from Dexamethazone, the steriod given pre and post chemo which assists in counteracting side effects of chemo. I lost my hair with both chemos. I am also having Herceptin, but because I'm having it in combination with Docetaxal, I'm not sure what the side effects for that specific drug are for me. i do notice that I get a runny nose and I've heard this is common on Herceptin.
Good luck with the Docetaxal Maxene, I'm positive you'll find it so much easier than AC!
