Taxotere
Hi everyone, Thanks for the responses to my questions. I have had my first taxotere, i'm about 10 days from my next one and as mentioned in my last post it wiped my blood count to zero. I also had my...
Hi everyone.
I have now had my dose changed from 3 weekly Taxotere to weekly Taxol. First visit back to my OC after the taxotere I told her about the side effects, hand reaction, pain I was in tears in her office, she changed me to Taxol straight away. So yes i have to get over more visits to the hospital in the treatment chair, which make me really anxious (4 more to go) but so far the weekly treatment has not hit me as hard. Seems it really pays to keep a good record each day of how you are feeling and side effects. There are no pre meds (all given in the drip on the day) to take with this one which seems strange after having to take a week or more worth of meds during the FEC and the Taxotere, only back up nausea tablets if I need them.
So now that I am not on so many steroids I'm not crying for 'no reason' all the time and sleep better. I have had some pins and needles type pain in the injection arm (has anyone else has this feeling?), a bit of nausea and dizzyness and a little rash that comes and goes sometimes.
