Taxol

They often put Phenergan into the taxol cocktail - if made me terribly drowsy through treatments but not after, but if you are very sensitive to its sedative qualities (it's added to minimise allergic reactions) it could be having an impact too. 

I slept most of my Paxitaxel sessions away for the 6weeks I was on it .... I was only 52 !!!

Sorry to hear that Cookie47. I’m 39 and my oncologist said he finds his younger patients tend to get less side effects. I also have two young kids to chase around after so they make me get up and keep going! I had a few days at the start on AC where I stayed in bed all day with hubby’s help. I hope you get through the rest of your treatments ok and remember chemo will end soon. 

Im up to week 6 of Taxol this week. I get pain around 3rd day after treatment. I have neuropathy in my fingers and toes which my oncologist is monitoring  I get sore mouth on and off and my taste has gone. But the main thing is the tiredness. I get absolutely exhausted. Im not sure if its partly my age (im 70) but some days i could just stay in bed and not move. I make myself get up and do things but its very debilitating.

I had my 6th dose of Taxol today, 6 to go. Other than foot pain I’m great. My eyebrows have thinned but a few hairs are hanging in there! This week my eyes started swelling a bit, my oncologist said that’s normal. I’ve just got little annoying side effects like that, nothing to complain about really. I see my oncologist the day of each treatment, so every week at the moment. I have blood tests each week before chemo too. I hope you are going well.

I'm ine char for my 2/4 taxol as we speak. Got pimply skin and little spider veins on my face.

Hi @desinha , I think it is very common with Taxol . I actually just lost my eyelashes for the 3rd time (finished Taxol last April, finished herceptin last Friday) but the new ones. although budding) are right there already. Eyebrows remain thin but I use Gimme Brow by Benefit cosmetics to plump them up ! Good luck!
