Taxol want to stop

Big giggles Kim swivel mop haven't brought that yet but I do need a new mop! I tend to buy cat things lol mind you 2 scratch posts that chemo brain stopped me from putting together lol I use to buy wigs lol til I kept straightening them and my cats kept finding them as prey funny isn't it? Bloody chemo and yes I even refuse chocolate now still manage the odd wine not many though which is probably a good thing can't wait to finish chemo get back to the gym and any TV series movie I'm your gal! 

Thanks Trace onco lowered dose to 86 percent had taxol again yesterday went and had expander fill this morning this arvo legs are shakey so seems to me Thursday and Fridays are set to be my bad ones ah well xxx

i agree with all other comments! But why does wine and chocolate have to taste so bad when you are on chemo?!! My last chemo was 5 weeks ago and I had wine on the weekend that actually taste good, the bubbly kind is the most palatable at present. There goes my good intentions of living a clean alcohol free life but what ever gets you though. Hang in there chemo is the worst kind of horrible. If you have to go to bed do it, if you resort to a lot of daytime tv and buying things off infocommericals do not beat your self up! Enjoy your swivel mop I am.

Hi Alsopt, chemo does suck, especially docetaxol. I had the same bony pain and muscle cramps that lasted for 3 days after each treatment. Just makes you feel like you're on a roller coaster. I agree, a glass of wine is quite acceptable when you can manage it. Hang in there Honey, I reckon that  a phone call to the oncology unit to get advice on how to manage your pain would be well worth it. Sending you a big cuddle, Trace ????????

Thank you yes seeing oncologist tomorrow somehow I don't think at this point she will stop it maybe a lower dose I don't know in the beginning they said I was healthy they'd give me more lol well they have killed that avenue of pleasure xxx

Conventional wisdom is that Taxol is easier than A/C, but I certainly didn't find it so. When you feel you have been doing well, and you are keeping ahead of this thing, it's very hard to suddenly feel stricken. Allow yourself to have some positive time out, you are not failing , you are doing really well but this treatment is very tough and that's why you feel lousy! Count them down, 3 more and you are halfway there. If things get worse, talk to your oncologist about how much really constitutes a therapeutic dose. My oncologist wanted me to do all 12 treatments, but just knowing we could negotiate the last one or two really helped keep me going.

Hey I think we have all thought like you at some stage. But you have to find the inner strength to keep going as the treatment is making you better. My motivation was my daughter and on days i felt like crap i would think about getting well for her. If you feel like you need a day in bed or that glass of wine or even chocolate go for it. Whatever you need to help you through it. Just dont give up as it will all be worth it when you are done.

Oh chemo really is the worst :(.  I had days where I wasn't sure I would make it to the next round but somehow I did.   I am sure that you can make it and at the end you will look back and wonder how you got there! If wine still tastes good definitely go and have one!! Big hug Emma Xx
