  •  No I do not want to go through any more. I am trying not to worry, but it is hard , the thought of another 2 lots of surgery is really upsetting. Thanks  Debbie

  •  Yes it is good news, just hope the tablets are enough.  The thought of it coming back really scares me.Did not have any radiation either.  The oncologist said the risks from chemo were greater than the benefits from it in my case.Having a gene test soon, as I have lot of family history of cancer. Dr said if it comes back positive for BCRA1 or BCRA 2 I should look at having another masectomy in the other breast and my ovaries removed. Waiting on an appointment could take a mth to get in. Debbie

  • I don't know about you Debbie, but I couldn't even think about surgery for a long while.Hope it comes back negative.

  • That's good news Debbie cos you don't want to have chemo unless you 100% have to.It's dreadful stuff and it takes ages to grow your hair and stop looking like a cancer patient.

  • If you are through the menopause then Tamoxifen is more tolerated.I've been on it now for 9months and just get some hot flushes.I got bit irritable and depressed when I first started but my doctor put me on a low dose antidepressant which helped.Hopefully you won't have any problems with it Debbie but it is early days.

  • Hi Debbie

I have been taking tamoxifen for about 2 months now and have to say that I haven't noticed anything different. I am still having hot flashes but had those anyway  form chemo and also sweat a lot more. My Oncologist reckons i won't have any other symptoms now so am feeeling really well. 2 days might be wishful thinking but it's good to feel positive about how you feel.Good luck and I hope you don't get any side effects.
