Tamoxifen
Hi ladies,I had an ultrasound last week because of some spotting I have had.I saw the gynae oncologist yesterday, and he said it all looks fine.He said spotting during Tamoxifen is not uncommon, but should ALWAYS be checked out.
He also reminded me that if you are POST MENOPAUSE, after 2 years on Tamoxifen your chances of endometrial cancer increase by x 4, so it is important to change to an Aromatase inhibitor medication at that time.
I am having a Bone mineral density test tomorrow, just to check how my bones are,( hopefully good) and then of course, all this information is even more reason for me to continue exercising and eating well,to look after my bones as best as I can ,before I have to start taking a drug that will probably damage them!!Hope you are all doing well today :) Cheers Robyn
