Tamoxifen!!
Hello ladies!Well when I last posted on my blog,I was keeping a daily record of my hot flushes, because they were getting worse, and pretty much driving me nuts! For 10 days, each time I had a hot flush,...
It's great that changing the time you take it is working for you. I have been on Tamoxifen now for nearly 2 months and I take it in the evening an hour or so before I go to bed and luckily tend to sleep right through. I have had my dinner, watched abit of telly, and generally feel relaxed when I take it, then soon after I go to bed. I haven't had many side affects at all so far, but when I do ocassionally feel a hot flush it tends to happen in the afternoons. So it seems to work for me this way at the moment and my Oncologist said to keep doing what I am doing and hopefully any side affects will continue to be minimal. I have cool showers and drink lots of water as I have been told that these things can also help to regulate body temperature overall.
I wake most days around 6 or 7am, as I have always done and if anything I think that maybe the Tamoxifen has given me abit of extra energy. The other day I was up again at 6am and decided to cook my roast for the evening meal and I have done this afew times the last few weeks. I mentioned this to my doctor on Thursday and he laughed.
Hope it continues to go well for you Robyn.
Take Care
