tamoxifen

I started taking tamxoifen in Novermber 2010 after finnishing my chemo, and was wondering if any one could tell me if thay are having any sideeffects, as iam.

I was on Tamoxifen for 3 years and had no side effects except break through bleeding on occasions. This had to be investigated each time (bit expensive) as theren is a risk of uterine cancer . Make sure that you have a caring gynecologist to keep an eye on you. I told myself that I wasn't going to have any side effects and it worked for me. Yes there were the night sweats but I had them before the drug so just carried on. But we are all different. When I had to change over to Arimidex due to another diagnosis, I hated it. Mood swings, itching, weight gain etc. I am having a little reprieve now though whilst under chemotherapy. Can't say I am looking forward to recommencing it. XLeonie
