Tamoxifen side effects
I started taking Tamoxifen in September 2010 and am experiencing some pain in my hip/thigh bone which wakes me up during the night. Can anyone tell me if this is a common side effect of this drug?

I was prescribed Femara at first, but had awful pains in my wrist, hip and fingers joints. Apparently this is a side effect of this drug.
Was then prescribed Tamoxifen, (miraculously pains went away!). Only took this drug for a couple of months, without any side effects to speak of, then was taken off this also, whilst I undergo oral chemo.
Discuss your pain with your onco, as there are other drugs available if this one doesnt suit you.
