Tamoxifen side effect relief please?!

A rather intimate subject I know, but I am wondering if anyone can recommend an over the counter cream to relieve vaginal dryness which I believe has been caused by the Tamoxifen I have now been taking for 12 months. I've been doing some research but most of the creams available cannot be used internally. I'm sure that others out there may have experienced this and have found an effective solution. Vicki oOo

    I have Dr Bronners $15.95, very mild soft fragrance from jar, but nothing when applied.

    Is HACCP approved (so you can eat it)

    Interesting, I'll certainly try it.  Does it make you smell  like coconut?

    The Tamoxifen dried me out so much that my delicate skin down there was itchy and sore.  GP suggested canesten, and gave me a pap test? Came back clear.  As phase 2 of my bc journey, I have had ovaries removed along with tubes, uterus and cervix.  Surgery put me into menopause like hitting a brick wall. So I have moved my focus to the hysta-sista web site, same problems just different stories, anyway the main choice of product there is pure virgin coconut oil (from health shop). I know that the BCNA don't recommend it, not sure why but I have found it a lifesaver. I put the smallest bit on, instant relief the skin seems to suck it up, currently using it 2-3 times per week.  Have not been given the go ahead for sex yet, so will have to try sylk then.

    I still have fatigue but it is an important part of our lives, and it would be nice to get it back to normal. My breast surgeon told me as my cancer was triple neg I could use an estrogen based cream, but am definitely not going to use a drug that states in its side effects not to use if you have had breast cancer. Actually my sister in law had a pre cancerous uterine condition that was attributed to that cream.. The name escapes me. Sticking to natural stuff. Paula :).

    I'm glad I bought this subject up then! For me, personally, it's about just feeling day to day normal and not having to deal with the discomfort it causes when you are out and about. The symptoms are kinda like those you have when you've got a UTI but it's not an infection, it's like a dry itch. Of course this is going to end up being a problem for many when it comes to intimacy as well so knowing what products are out there which can help and that are as natural as possible is very important. I had never heard of Sylk but glad I have now! Vicki

    Yeah I know. I've been wanting to bring this up before but I didn't have the nerve. Heheheh. But in saying that, sex is a really important part of my wellness. Intimacy with my husband is something I want to get back. It really distresses me not to be able and not to even have any drive. It's not that we were at it like monkeys before mind you. (Oh this is getting worse and worse). I just want to say for me it's a part of getting back to the 'new normal'. An important part. Janey xxx

    Glad you brought this subject up. Vaginal dryness is a big problem for me too. I'm not sure whether you are talking about sex but I am having extreme difficulty in that area. Its so painful! My GP recommended SYLK as well. I haven't used it yet but I haven't had much call to. No sex drive at all! My poor husband has been extremely patient and understanding but I am quite miserable about it. It's one of the things I am quite upset about and have a hard time coming to turns with.
