I only had 2 nodes removed and a lumpectomy and radiation which finished in July 2010. I had a lot of pain after that, particulaly early this year. Things that have helped: the Encore Program which I did in November and then a 'PInk Pilates' program which the breast care nurse told me about. Individual treatment from a phsysiotherapist trained also in pilates, I had 5 sessions which were partly paid for by medicare. Your GP does a care plan for you first. The physio massaged the whole area and it has helped so much to relieve the pains, especially down my arm which have almost gone.
It all takes ages to heal and it's hard to be patient and not to panic! A breast care nurse will be able to find some help for you.
