Dear Sandi,
I postponed my fat injections as my wonderful husband booked a Queensland holiday for us last week and i certainly didn't want to spend it feeling sore! So, we had a fabulous 5 days in the warmth, after leaving a cold and wintry Melbourne! Just what the doctor ordered - literally, as it turned out, as my oncologist strongly recommended a break during my last appointment.
I am feeling much stronger emotionally, now. I think I have come to the point where I really can truly live for now and not fret about the future and whatever that may hold. I may have 6 months, 6 years or 25+ years, but I refuse to spend that time miserable!! That isn't to say that soemtimes I don't feel sad, but it doesn't seem to be so debilitating!
My physical symptoms have just about all cleared up - with the exception of my nails that are lifting/peeling off as the affected part grows out. They look a bit unsightly, but the new nail looks healthy, so hopefully will just be temporary.
