survey thingy and update

Hi Everyone,

I had a really good week so far and I am hoping it continues. No headache for a week and I feel really good...except for the wonky joints (especially the right knee) I think I am accustomed to the Arimidex now as I am coasting along.

Met up with the group yesterday afternoon and we had 8 turn up. Had a toast to Lynda as it was her birthday but she left early with Dave to go out for dinner. Then Lee left to go to the movies and she suggested we have a chick flick outing. What a great idea, I thought! Any takers? I'm up for it so if anyone thinks of a movie we might all like, sing out and we can organize an evening out.

Also Gayle sent me a message from Jurina for  you guys. I'm not sure who has received it so I thought I would just add it to my blog.

Hello ladies,

We have heard that some Queensland Women are having to pay for their Chemotherapy drugs even though they are being treated in Public Hospitals as Public patients.

BCNA are investigating this issue as they have heard this is happening in Queensland and NSW.

I attended a BCNA Forum in Nambour recently and questioned this issue, the Oncologist who was speaking about Chemotherapy told me that women being treated in the Public Health System are not expected to pay for their Chemotherapy drugs.

We need to hear from any of you who have been treated in the Public Health System and have had to pay for your drugs.

Please let us know what drugs you were on, how much you had to pay and what hospital you attended for your Chemotherapy treatments.

I would appreciate as much information as possible.
