Surrogacy

Phil and I have just started looking into how we go about starting a family.  Before I started chemo, we were able to complete 1 round of IVF and successfully freeze 2 embryo's - Phil likes to refer to these as 'Fisher and Paykel'

Due to the medication and chance of reoccurrence of cancer I cant carry these embryo's.  We would love to give surrogacy in Australia a go and have some very generous and loving friends who have offered.

Has anyone else experienced surrogacgy or been involved in anyway?  We would love to share your experience.  Going overseas isn't an option for us financially and we would like to use our own embryo's before we look at other options.

Would love to hear from anyone,

Kirsty :)

  • One of my friends I met thru BC has just had her 'miracle baby'  Was never offered the chance to 'freeze' had chemo, radiation 'the works'  I really thought the worst BUT she has had the most beautiful, precious, healthy baby boy!

Wishing you all the best , I hope all your 'precious miracles' come true. xxx
