surgery

This time last year I was in recovery from my surgery. It is a bit scary to think back to last year. You know what I'm stronger than I thought I was. My life has changed forever I will always worry about bc coming back as we all will. If I can survive all the treatment I went through I can certainly survive my new normal., Family, friends and work (sometimes work) make each day better. I love life and yes I feel like a warrior xx

  • Hi Leanne yes it is all consuming when you are going through it. I didn't have a easy time but I just kept trying to move forward and take it one day at a time. Don;t forget to do some fun things and laugh alot it helped me . This site is great to read other peoples trip ( I have never called it a journey) and know you are not alone, sending you a smile and a laughxxx

  • Hi rowdy, thanks for your post. I am about to start chemo, had a lumpectomy and re-excision. It is so gooood to hear how you have come through it all. It is exactly what I needed to read, as I am very apprehensive about my chemo that I start next Thursday.

I wish you every happiness and good health.

Rowdy you are an inspiration to all of us undergoing treatment. You clearly demonstrate your positive approach to life, and are so supportive to members queries. What a woman !! ?????? Trace

  • Thank you Rowdy for being so positive and inspiring.  I still have one more chemo to go next week followed by rads later in September.  Although there's light at the end of the tunnel, I'm still struggling some days with the new normal of no boob and the whole bc thing.

A lot has happened in a year. Yes, you are a warrior.
