Surgery tomorrow !
ah I can't believe the day is nearly here! Tomorrow nice and early at 645am I'm being admitted for my bilateral mastectomy and expanders.
I was feeling a bit nervous until now but now I'm absolutely terrified! I'm not terrified of the actual operation and being under GA but more about the road to recovery after and the pain.
At least my op is early so it's over and done with.
Im not one to leave the house without my wig and even when going to chemo I'd still go with it on. But tomorrow I don't care, I'm going with my scarf on and no makeup , looking ugly and all.

- Good to hear you are doing ok. Rest and recover now. Each new day will be easier than the one before. As for the drains, I feel they hurt more than the surgery itself most of the time. Thinking of you xx Lesley
- All the best for recovery - if the noises get to you, ask for earplugs... & keep asking until you get some! It was the only way I got any sleep in hospital.
Be careful of those drains, i luckily only had one & I accidentally pulled it a couple of times.... ouch! - All the best you will never look back
- Wonderful to hear you are ok - nearly drove me nuts all the nursing checks as wanted to sleep - glad analgesics under control and you are comfortable - re drains maybe the staff have some ideas to make it a bit easier . Big hug.

So so here I am in the hospital feeling bruised and sore but I'm doing okay. Or am I just doing okay because I'm on the morphine haha. I got that special release button that I have fallen in love with.
Not loving my flat chest at the moment but I know the expansions are coming so that makes me feel better.
Im lucky to be in a room with just one other lady and right next to the bathroom. I thought I'd be in a 4 bed room. The nurses are so lovely.
got my 4 disgusting drains in. They're so annoying. I just can't get the hang of them being them. I don't want to accidentally pull on as I know a few people have said they've done that. Ouchies.
