Surgery on Tuesday

Saw the Specialist again yesterday, and there are no other lumps that need to come out, Yay!!

I got my My Journey Kit in the mail when I got home from the appointment too.  That was great timing, although reading all the info was a bit overwhelming for me today.  I had to resort to watching Dr Phil, to take my mind off it.....  :o)

I have a pre-op consult on Monday and then go back on Tues morning for needle to pinpoint which lump to take out and the surgery.

I think after the op, Hubby and I go and see a Fertility Specialist to find out our options.  I really hope that we won't have to go down the IVF road.  But, could be a possibilty when we get the results back form surgery.

Overall, Hubby and I are doing Ok.  He is so sweet, every night when he gets home, he gives me a big hug/kiss and askes how my day was and how I'm feeling.  I know he is really scared about what is to come, but I hope that seeing me calm and still smiling, he is comforted that I am ok.

So, we get another weekend free from Cancer Surgery Recovery. Hmm have to think of something we can do on, hope this weather keeps up.

Take Care Ladies.

  • hi Rach, good luck for Tuesday, glad you got the my journey kit, it will be invaluable to you through your journey, everything is a bit overwhelming at first, but at least the kit, has been done with a lot of women who have been there, and is in a language we can relate to. i used the journal all the way through, and found it great having all my notes and appointment, and i wrote questions i wanted to ask on my visits to doctors. enjoy your weekend, and please let us know how you are going. Take Care  Moira
