Surgery done and out of hospital
Just saw the surgeon and I've been given my marching orders. Getting discharged from hospital today. First part over - now I can look forward to meeting my oncologist sometime in the next few weeks and finding out what other delights are in store for me. I am so NOT a good patient.

- I thinkit's going to be about 3 weeks - I go back to see the surgeon in 2 weeks.
- Enjoy being home! Oncology will happen soon enough - my surgeon said we want you to rest first and from memory it was about 3 weeks after surgery that I had my first Oncology visit. Before leaving hospital the Breast care nurse gave me reading material so I was prepared when we did go to the first appointment. I didn't join this forum until a couple of months after surgery
