Surgery Done and Dusted.

After a very long day yesterday of hook wires, isotope, mammograms, xrays and then surgery, was finally greeted by a horrified dear Hubby and best mate at 6pm.  Apparently, I looked like death a nice blue/grey shade from the dye they injected me with.  I was in hysterics when I discovered blue No. 1's and green No. 2's.  Gross I know to look, but I was curious.  hahahahaa

The surgery went well and the only drama I had with pain was the drain in my underarm.  Couldn't get comfortable at all over night.  Don't think I would have slept well anyways, as the nurses station door was right near our room and the obs were done every half hour it seemed.

Oh well, I got the drain out this morning (ouch that did hurt) and the pain had almost dissapeared which was great.  Got home at lunch time and have been perched on the couch all arvy with the dog smooching beside me, too cute.  :o)

So, now we wait until Tuesday for the results of the surgery and cross fingers it is good news.  I am glad that this stage is over and done with though.

Take Care Ladies and hope you are all having a good day.

  • Hi Rach,

Good to hear that the surgery went well and you are recovering quickly. Hospital is the worst place to try and get some rest, my room was near the where the buzzers went off and I didn;t get much rest either. Take it easy. I hope all goes well and good luck for Tuesday when you get your results.

  • Hi Rach,

Glad the surgery is now behind you and that you are home. What would we do without our dogs? I'm sure they know more than we give them credit for. I hope you have an uneventful recovery, and that the waiting for your pathology won't seem too long for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed for good results.

    Take care
