I had similar surgery in October, lumpectomy and 12 nodes removed. I wasn't in a lot pain, just wanted to get home. I have recovered quite well, the little cushion they give you in hospital went everywhere with me for a while though. Rest when you need to. Be kind to yourself.
Yes yes it's the waiting! The frustrating waiting, but that's what cancer is all about. Waiting for tests, waiting for appointments, waiting for results!
