Surgeon and hospital
ETA: Looking at either lumpectomy and lymph removal; or DMX and lymph node removal. The DMX is my preference as I'm trying to minimise the chances of a reoccurrence.

I'm looking at surgeon options, and just don't know where to start, and I'm looking for some recommendations. I've got private insurance - just checking on what's covered or not. I live in the Southern Highlands, NSW, and am happy to travel into southern Sydney for surgery. My oncologist will be in Bowral, and he mentioned that chemo would happen in Bowral, and radiation in Campbelltown (or the other way around - my brain has shut down).
I've met with a surgeon who operates at Campbelltown Private Hospital, but I've got a bit of a niggle that I can't put my finger on.
Has anyone had surgery at Campbelltown Private? Does anyone have any recommendations for surgeons / facilities south of Sydney that are better than Campbelltown?
I've just returned to Australia after quite a time away, and I'm absolutely clueless about how to find a good surgeon and hospital. I also don't have a support network in Sydney that can help me navigate this devastating journey.
Assuming that this is an appropriate question, I'd really appreciate some guidance.

- Hi @KimF I had my surgery at Campbelltown Private Hospital, my surgeon was great and so was the hospital and staff there. Not sure which surgeon you are looking at as there are a number who work out of there, happy for you to PM me if you want any further info.

- I’ve got an absolutely brilliant surgeon, but she’s in north Sydney, if you’re willing to travel. She also used to work at St Vincent’s in Darlinghurst but I’m not sure about that anymore. I travel for her as she’s worth it. She’s everything you would expect a surgeon to be: skilled, supportive, empathetic etc. Let me know if you’d like her name and contact.
