Support for Partners

Canberra put on the sunshine for the reception at the Lodge for us . The gardens looked amazing with pink ladies dotted throughout.

The media arrived along with guests for the morning. My speech even tho I had read it many times in practice , still made me cry as the memories of our journey flooded back.

Off some of the guests that spoke to me after the formalities were over a person  came forward and said that he was going to ring his friend and take some beers over and just talk about anything that comes up.

I am so happy to be apart of this online network and hope that we can get more members and maybe have our own forum.

If you know of any partners be either male or female, please ask them to join our group .

In the coming days I will put my speach on here , even tho we all take a similar journey I think its always interesting to hear of how others have take the ride.

Cheers Scotty H

  • Hey Sam.

Im glad that your husband read your notes , as sometimes its hard for us to say what we are feeling but in the written word our thoughs can spill out and others can read it when they are ready .

  • Well done Scott, you have opened up a part in peoples minds that was sometimes very hard to get into.  This journey is not always one sided  and the suffering that is involved has such an impact on both sides of our family lives

I would be honoured to read your speach  when you put it up,  and wish you all the best. Your a trooper mate, something to be very proud of.

    Cheers Jo
