Jessica - wouldn't that be a wonderful world to live in! Would love to raise kids in that reality! We should never give up hope! :)
LilyFeb - totally understand what you have written. I like to believe my mum is cured of her cancer, and focus on that. We try to practice mindfulness ie living in the present moment - which seems to help my mum and our family. Reality we could get wiped out in a car accident tomorrow!
I've done some research if anyone is interested and found a lot of articles appearing in 2013 which indicated that Femara is generally a 5 year treatment given directly after surgery/chemo/radio. Unless you were given Tamoxifen first for 5 years then there is benefit of doing your 5 years of Femara After the Tamoxifen, meaning 10 years in total in this case. There is also studies that indicate that patients who have bone pain are less likely for the cancer to come back. It also mentions that Femara does cause bone thinning and not recommended for those with or at risk of osteoporosis.
