Hi Tonya, yes I feel very disappointed and fraustrated too because the Lymphoedema will now delay everything. I still don't know what treatment plan I will have as they are still doing other tests. Hopefully I will have an answer next week. The doctors told me yesterday it will more than likely be radiotherapy and hormone therapy. At this point I just want to get started and hopefully finished in afew months.
Tonya, the doctor gave me the script for Tamoxifen yesterday to start either today or the beginning of next week. I thought you normally start hormone only after you have finished chemo or radio, or both , then you start the hormone Therapy. I obviously haven't yet done any therapy so I thought it strange to start the hormone stuff now. I have decided not to start the tablet until I see my GP tomorrow. The Tamoxifen tabs that I purchased from my local pharmacy today has the words " Tamoxifen " GenRx on the bottle. Are these the ones you recommend.? He was originally going to put me on Arimidex but then I reminded him that I have rheumatoid arthritis so he put me on Tamoxifen.
A warm bath sounds wonderful but because my breast is so red and swollen at the moment I am abit reluctant . But maybe I should give it a go. My husband says it's a great idea. Thanks for your good wishes Tonya I hope I hope I get over this hiccup so I can begin my treatment soon.
Take care
Ronnie xx
