Hi Mita
I have been told that is an explaination as well by a medical person Apparently cancers can grow more slowly in older people. I have a friend who is 86 and has a brain tumour that has not grown either, she recently had an aggressive breast tumour removed and is now having Radiation only because of her age, but doing well.
It is lovely to meet woman of all ages as I have since being diagnosed or over the years who have had breast cancer years ago and are still going strong with no recurrence. My cousin told me she had had a tumour removed from her breast 23 years ago, She is 76 now. She hadnt mentioned before I told her I had one.
I think the more we share our experience, the less mystifying it becomes. Most of us dont know much about breast cancer until we become invovled in it ourselves.
Have a great week
Yvette
