Hi TripleTea, by now you will have had the first FEC, I hope the nausea has eased for you and there are not too many other nasty side effects.
I too had the 3x FEC and 3 X Docetaxel.
It is pretty hard hitting but at least by the third week I came good and felt excitedly normal.
Sometimes people refer to Docetaxol as Taxol, but usually it is Paclitaxel they are referring to.
My Oncologist said I could increase the days of steroids to help the nausea if I felt I needed to, but I decided not to as I didn't like the other side effects of the steroids. I believe it is an option though.
There are other anti nauseas as others have mentioned, which may be better for you too.
My Oncologist said I was not to take Ibuprofen - Panadol, Endone or Panadeine Forte only.
I could not take my Migraine relievers either as they reacted adversely with the anti nausea medication they give before the chemo.
My hair started to grow back on Docetaxel, fine, whispy and White at first, but it definitely started to grow.
Now, 14 weeks after the last Docetaxel, I have eyebrows, fine short eyelashes and a full covering of hair even though it is very short.
I did get some unpleasant side effects, but not enough for me to change the drugs.
Good luck with the chemo, you have done one, so only 5 more to go.
Feel free to ask about anything bothering you, I think I got about every side effect going, fortunately some not too badly.
