Hi @TripleTea, I had 3 x FEC and 3 x Docetaxel 3 weekly and finished 2nd August. It is a nerve racking time as you never are quite sure how these drugs are going to affect you even when armed with the list of side effects. We each react differently, chemo can be tough no matter which regime you choose but as so many ladies have attested to on the network it is doable. For me I too was quite nauseous on FEC and unfortunately maxillon and ondansatron were not effective for me but by working with the oncologist we got it sorted. I found Docetaxel a little more difficult as I had a bad reaction to it. The side effects for Docetaxel don't kick in until day 3 or 4. I had bad bone pain and it affected my mouth and digestive system. Once again the oncologist worked through this with me giving me a dose reduction for cycle 5 & 6 and appropriate pain relief. Keep in mind that this was how I reacted. I also went through chemo with a lady who coped really well with Docetaxel. Keeping a list of your side effects as @Zoffiel suggests is a great idea as it is amazing how easy it is to forget to mention them to your oncologist. Your oncologist is there to help you get through this. Be kind to yourself, tick the cycles off, already one down. The unknown can often be more nerve racking than the reality. All the best. Sophie
