started chemo

Well i've started my chemo and Hericeptin last week and starting to feel very tired and dizzy.

It's such a change watching my family run around after me and not the other way around.

The only pain i have is in my ribs where the secondary is.

  • I had not realised it had been so long since my last blog.  It's been 17months since my diagnosis and now my cancer is at bay and i have had a half knee replacement and been feeling relatively good. except when i have my Herceptin the day after for a week i get a headache and my chest /lungs feel very tight like i'm getting the flu.  I just feel terrible.  I did mention this to my Oncologist and he said he didn't think it was the Herceptin and see my GP about it.

Has anyone experienced any kind of side affects to it???

  • Strangely, I Have just started getting dry, itchy, red blotches all over my skin. Have been treated for secondaries in bones for six years and now, suddenly, this happens. Will talk to gp this week and oncologist next month. hope you are all feeling good this week. xxJulie.

  • Might be an idea to put thsi question in a new blog, as i am sure there will be someone on here who can relate to it, or maybe have found some relief from it.

Hope it has died down a bit by now, and you are going along ok.

  • Hopefully your chemo wont be too bad, the main thing is to make sure you have plenty YOU time, so Enjoy watching your family doing things for you. And please let us know how you are going.
