Something about Christmas

Hi wonderful ladies! Merry Christmas to you all - gee I had to say it to myself a couple of days before Christmas - the year before last, my Mother passed away......last year I found out I had cancer - this year? Well my youngest daughter informed me a couple of days before Christmas that they had discovered a 'mass' in one of her breasts..............she has to now have a biopsy - boy did it make my shoulders droop, but I told her we will get through this and she has my full support (am freaking out inside!) I told my oncologist and he was really, really concerned and asked me to inform him of my daughters results.   So I have had to 'tuck this little bit of info' under my sleeve not wanting to upset any one elses Christmas................and as for my daughter she is a tough little nut!  Only she and I know about it at the moment......we are going to wait and see - meanwhile, chin up!  Can you believe absolutely no one in our families had breast cancer, suddenly its my oldest sister, myself and now my daughter is having a 'scare'.......Well I am praying for her - I told my doctor, its 'hard enough dealing with this stuff yourself.....but you sure as eggs don't wish it on your kids...... x x x hugs to all

  • Oh you poor darl,Christmas is a sad time for you.Well the only thing worse than getting breast cancer yourself  would be for  your child to get it. I will hope and pray that it's NOT cancer.I couldn't bare to even think about one of my daughter's finding a mass in her breast.I guess you are going to pieces on the inside but trying to be calm and brave on the outside for your daughter's sake.Oh how the waiting does your head in and there's nothing you can do but to stay busy so you don't stew in your own juices. We know life can be unfair but surely not THAT unfair to you Josie.Stay strong, let us know how she goes.I will be thinking of you dear Josie.

  • Dear Kathryne

Thank you for your kind thoughts - we will be keeping our fingers crossed (don't you hate the waiting game) hugs and love from Josie x x x

  • Dearest JJoy,  I am so sorry to hear about your daughter having to go though the trauma of having tests and waiting for the results. I will keep you both in my prayers. It is such a shame you keep getting bad news at this festive time of year, I pray this will change for your family and you can try and enjoy this time of year again as I am sure your mother would want you to.  Sending you hugs and love.
