Just read your blog and I'd like to welcome you also to this wonderful site. It's really hard at this time of year to get started with treatments and surgery. I waited five weeks from diagnoses on the 20th Dec 2012 to my lumpectomy on the 22nd Jan 2013. It was an eternity and I was worried that it wasn't fast enough like you. What was going on with the lumps???? I guess all we can do is put ourselves in the hands of our medical team and trust in them. But I would ring your hospital and keep checking if there is any chance of getting in earlier only if it is to keep your name uppermost in their minds. It can't hurt and the squeaky gate gets oiled as they say.
Tanya you sound like you're in for a rough ride with all your treatments but you also sound strong and wanting to get on with it. The year will go really quickly believe it or not and you'll be congratulating yourself on getting through this time next year. Remember we are here to listen and support you on your journey. Hated that word 'journey' when I first started but I quickly learnt that it is indeed just that, an unexpected journey.
Sending you hugs and wishing you all the best for your coming treatments.
Love Janey xxx
