Soft nails problems

My finger nails went an orange colour, and very soft and brittle, then started to lift off with my final two treatments of 'Docataxel.'  My toe nails went dark in colour and my two largest toe nails went black. My fingers settled down quite well about a month or so after chemo finished. During the treatment I had terrible pain in my feet and then  my two big toe nails became arched, very hard and extremely painful. Wearing closed in shoes was very difficult and painful. It was at least 12 months before I could prise the nails off the new ones that were growing underneath. This was very frustrating but a nail treatment I tried  seemed to work to some small degree. Eventually the nails dried out enough to lift off partly themselves. Then I cut the rest away with a nail file and toe clippers.
