I can understand your frustrations and anxiety. I was diagnosed with DCIS of the left breast in mid April after having a left duct excision. This was only a couple of days after arriving back from holiday and after having a mammogram and ultrasound. My surgeon told me that he found more cancer cells in the milk ducts and although it was still early, i had to have another operation (this time a wide local excision - which was done in May).
Well after 2 surgeries I thought i was done. NO...My surgeon told me that the cancer cells had spread and were now becoming invasive. Not good news. I have to have a mastectomy and reconstruction which will be done this Friday 12th June. I am coping with it fine at the moment, however this may change when I arrive in hospital. It has become way too real...
