Use these days before your surgery to find some enjoyment in life, Jodi. Try to achieve something simple, it will give you something to look back at.
Doctors are extremely reserved so your doctor's advice sounds " fabulous"". They know what they are dealng with! DO access a counsellor through the cancer council or your doctor, they will assist you get through this journey. It is hard doing it alone- by alone I mean through those dark hours in the night. I know you have the support and love of your nearest and dearest, but outside help can be beneficial too and it is NOT a sign that you are weak, is it girls??
ALl of us are here too, of course, but we are untrained peer support which makes a difference at at times.
Sending you a rainbow, Mandy
