So far so good

Hi everyone,

I have been reading blogs on here from ladies and i am realizing how fortunate i have been all the way through with my diagnosise.

I have had 2 operations that have been successful with very few side affects and 1 round of chemo that left me feeling very tired and nauseous but luckily that only lasted 3 days, by day 5 i was back to work and doing ok. It is now day 10 after the chemo so it is off to get blood tests to see what has been happening to me..

Thank you all for sharing your stories on here it helps me alot to know what is happening to me is not that unusual in the circumstances.

Good luck to all

  • Hi there Sandy ... I'm pleased that you have been helped a little bit by reading the blogs here on site.  It's great to realise that you are not alone isn't it?  Just knowing that what ever you are experiencing someone before you has "been there, done that" and they are here to help you through it.

We are a bit like a large extended family, always wanting to know what's going on and offering help where we can.  We're not really mad ....Leonie's exaggerating of course - then again maybe not!!!

I guess what I am trying to say is that these journeys we find ourselves on are traumatic enough, we have all worked out that laughter about is definately for medicinal purposes - like a good wine or two (or even three or four) !!!

Hi to you too Rob - so pleased for you that you don't need chemo (I'm in that same boat .... on arimidex for the next 5 years) and good luck with your treatment.

Both of you feel free to add me to your contacts if you wish

    Cheers .... Shirl xx
