So excited!

It's coming back! It is almost 9 weeks since my last chemo but other than the few hairs that stuck with me throughout chemo, I had very little regrowth. You start to worry when/if it will ever come back. I've been googling images to see what other people's regrowth was like! But yesterday my daughter remarked that my bare head looked 'dirty'. A quick check in the mirror revealed lots of very short hairs growing on my head and eyebrow area. I will have hair and eyebrows for Christmas! :) Deanne xx

  • Congratulations on the new hair growth.  It makes you feel so much better.  I was really happy when I noticed eyelashes too.   I had my last chemo in May, my hair growth has been slow, but I could probably get away without wearing my best friend, but still a tad too short for me, and frankly I just don't look like myself yet, but I will.    So happy for you Deanne........:)

  • Hi Robyn Love the baby duck comparison! I had short hair from Year 8 at high school until the last year or so. I had finally grown it to a point that I was happy with (my profile pic was taken the day before I received my official diagnosis) over a two year period. Then Chemo got rid of that! I think I will just wait and see how it grows back (straight/curly, colour and thickness). It will just be great to not have to grab a hat every time I stick my nose out the door! :)Deanne xx
  • Hi Deanne - isn't it a high when you see that regrowth coming through!  The best Christmas present ever. It starts slowly and then all of a sudden you need a trim - and don't have to put eyebrows on any more. Smiling for you at the thought. Woohoo!  Michelle xxx
