Hi Jenny I remember that messy stage. It is incredible how much mess even very short hair can make. My husband shaved mine while one daughter assisted and the other took photos on her phone sending them off to family and friends! You can imagine what some of these looked like! I love Pink's short style. I will probably have a grey brown version of it by about January! Unfortunately the regrowth part of this journey is not as quick as the losing it part. Thank goodness for our wonderful families to help us through the treatment roller coaster. Hope your Chemo time goes quickly without too many side effects. Take care.

Big party coming up for you...and congrats on finishing all your treatments AND new hair growth!

I have been keenly following your "detour" as mine has just begun, with similar diagnosis to yours.

My hair has just started falling out after my chemo 2 weeks ago....and like you, I had been growing my hair to similar style I had about 12 years ago when I met my husband.  Now, sporting a "rock-chick" do (think Pink, without the pink!) but will probably get my children to shave it on the weekend as it is still causing issues when it falls out!

So glad to hear yours is growing back and you may be able to enjoy an extra special Christmas without a wig or scarf!

Hi Deanne, So happy for you that you have hair coming along. I seem to have hair growing too. I still have one docetaxol to go but I am sure I have hair growing as family members who see me au-natural say to me it is growing :) I just feel that it is too good to be true but it is there quite thin on top (well thin all over really). Just hope it keeps going & thickens. Would be nice though if we could select which body parts we wanted our hair to return to though. Not looking forward to hairy legs & bikini line again :( Good luck with your hair. Love Carolyn x

I think a fair bit of mine at the top and temple areas will be grey too Janey! :( I guess we just have a bit more of that 'waiting' to do before we can colour it and look like ourselves again. But we will get there eventually. :) Deanne xxx

That's so lovely for you to have hair for Christmas. Mine has grown about 2 cms or so all-be-it a bit patchy still. I'm still wearing my scarves thoughp. It's come back a bit curling and oh so grey. It's a bit of a shock that I am so grey really. Not ready for it. I look like my 77 yo mother! I think I might go and get it trimmed at the sides as they seem to be growing more than to top. I will have to wait and see whether I do a 'reveal' at Christmas. The scarf is getting a bit hot now so I guess I'll have to soon. Hope it doesn't take too long for you Deanne, it'll be nice when we can go 'bear' headed again. Love Janey xxx

Thank-you! Yes I imagine it will be a few months before I look like 'me'. The lack of a fringe will be a bit weird. I will have to see how I feel about the short hair, but it will be great to have eyebrows again and hopefully the eyelashes will not be far away. Hope your hair is soon long enough to say goodbye to your best friend. :) Deanne xx
