So Annoying
Hi everyone hope you are all fairing better than me at the moment. Had my mastectomy 3 weeks ago and was just starting to feel sort of normal well not so sore, had it drained last Tuesday and then it...
I am so dumb my last 3 blocks of chemo are going to be Taxotere I didn't realise that it is docetaxil, my first 3 are cyclophosphamide, 5FU,& Epirubicin I don't know if there is an abbreviation for those 3. So I will probably have hair loss for a long time like you, thank you for the warning as it does help to know what you are in for.
Did you have any cells in your lymph nodes when they took them out? Hope you don't mind me asking it is just that I had micromatastasis in one of the 14 nodes that they took that is why they have decided to do chemo. I had the sentinel nodes taken first but they were clear so I was lucky that they decided to take the other lymph nodes at the same time as the mastectomy otherwise I would have not known about the cancer spreading to the other node and then just to show how lucky I was it was only that the nodes were distorted that they were sent for further staining that they picked it up as the initial result was clear!!!!! So I have had good and bad luck, I am just hoping that the scans come back clear but with my track record wonder if they will be telling me the truth???? (the scans that is) when it first presented as a 2cm tumor and ended up 4.75cm it is a bit frightening that for some reason it just doesn't show up on film. This is probably another reason why they decided that I go on and have radiotherapy and hormone treatment to make sure that I have the best chance of survival under the circumstances that it has been unusual all along. Of course the infection was just the icing!!!!
Thanks once again for sharing,
Cheerio for now,
