So Annoying
Hi everyone hope you are all fairing better than me at the moment. Had my mastectomy 3 weeks ago and was just starting to feel sort of normal well not so sore, had it drained last Tuesday and then it...
Gee,3mths is a long time to be out of "housework"action. When you are not well you don't really care about it but it soon builds up.So glad you are finally feeling better.I finished my chemo last July.I was supposed to have 4 rounds of TC(Taxotere or docetaxil and cyclophos.)The first round knocked out all my white cells and I was in hospital/isolation for 4 days with an infection. My doc. said it was too strong for me and wanted to swap to another.I decided not to have anymore -I have no lymph nodes and all my scans were clear. My doctor was ok with it so long as I went on Tamoxifen tabs.for 5yrs which I take now. The other chemo combo they offer is FEC(6 rounds).Probably not as hard on your body but still has nasty side effects. You just don't know how you will react-everyone is different. I found being bald for 3mths really hard to take.Finally,9mths later,I'm going without headbands cos my hair has grown abit.I had it coloured and trimmed and I feel so much better about myself.
