I'm having my right breast off as I had lobular cancer. Lobular cancer has a slightly higher risk of forming in the other breast once it's been diagnosed already in one.
I've had this discussion with my surgeon, my onc and nurse and they have all said the same thing for my type of tumour. They all agree to remove the breast and have a hysterectomy to give me a better chance of not having to go through this again.
