Single vs Double

Yes I am well, thanks. Yes there are lots of reasons to have a double mastectomy and I may very well choose to do this in the future myself. But I have had so many people ask me why I did not have my second breast removed that I think there is a lot of misconception about this in the general public with media reports about people having double mastectomies. I think we hear so often about the people who have to face a recurrence or second new cancer that we think this happens more than it really does. It is now something that people facing a first diagnosis might be misinformed about. I just want to make sure that people fully understand the issue. Will be having my week of intensive treatment for lymphedema next week, so will post about anything I learn which maybe helpful to other ladies. Meanwhile have been doing lots of exercise at Pilates to strengthen my arms and build muscle to help with moving the lymph fluid. Hope you are still going ok with less hot flushes. :) Deanne xxx
