I have a lump in my breast ,been getting worse/ bigger.

Have had mammogram and ultrasound , told it is "fat lump". My Mum died aged 60 from a similar undiagnosed breast cancer. My question is , How do you get a scan or other test if the Doctor says it is "just a fat lump" . I have already lost 18kg in 3months and really feel something is not right. Who do I turn to for help?? Any advice very welcome . I am 53yrs old and had Uterine Cancer aged 36 .. Thanks .

    Welcome to this network where you will get lots of info and support.I think you should get a second opinion too.Perhaps you could have a core biopsy of the area if another doctor orders it? Go with your gut instinct and keep pushing the doctors for answers.You have a cancer history so you need to be sure.
