Hi MLE59 Yes thanks and good to be in right mindset for 'halfway'. And once it started to fall out was time to go. So not really upset by it as it does feel better with it gone. And think harder on others as I don't see it unless I look in a mirror or touch my head. And told self it's a good thing as means drugs are working in getting 'the bitch that bites' even more out of my body. Will post after 'halfway' when can. Hope you're doing well after yours.

You sound like you are in a good place: how great your focus was on enoying time with friends and you were able to 'just get on with it' down to the take away. Good luck on Thursday with your second round.

Well I have the best mates. Love them heaps. They so brave helping me make it fun to get rid of my hair. It had begun to come out and better to get rid of it than freak at waking up and I move but my hair doesn't come with me. Made it fun. Had lightening bolts cut into it. Checked out what a Mohawk would look like - and that's a no when it regrows. Man didn't realise how cold it feels though. Thank god for the beanies my best mate has made for me. And was brave enough and didn't even think about it but went and got takeaway. So ready for 'halfway' point on Thursday. Then two to go. And time for me and to see how grey and curly my hair will be. Looking forward to that part of the adventure. Coz then will be over and can get back on the work train. Enjoy each moment and share it with those that are special to you.

I'm not out to win any competitions!! But I can add: saving so much money on trips to the hairdressers, no need to cut, colour, style, wash or dry...no fighting with knots or bed-hair...no clogged up bathroom drains...lol and no need to wax / shave ANYWHERE for at least 3-4 months. Also, massages and showers feel GREAT! 

I see no problem with hair loss! ;-) definitely a perk of chemo! 

Well I definitely can't compete with Bobbie,lol,but I can tell you that being bald is sooo easy! Showers are super quick,windy days don't matter,you can have the window all the way down in the car without having to worry about your hair,and you save money on razors! You see there is a good side to chemo!! ;) My hair in my profile pic is 5 months past chemo,and it is pretty much all straight.Take care xoxRobyn

I finished chemo 66 days ago, and I've now got some hair coming back...I did a post about it yesterday, with a photo.

I LOVED my bald head, I actually felt about a million times sexier then when I had hair, because I felt that people had to concentrate on my face, makeup and earrings etc. I had so many compliments on it because I chose to embellish it rather than cover it up, ie. henna tattoo, indian head jewellery, body paint & make up. Here's a selfie I did from a photoshoot with awesome body paint:

 

People say that it depends on the shape of your head, personally though I think it depends on confidence. If you fel awkward about it, you will look awkward and not carry it off. I also had very encouraging friends and family, and thankfully I live in a very open minded and relaxed area where people don't stare or point etc.

I bought hats, wigs and scarves with the best of intentions, however as I had my chemo through summer I found it too hot to wear any of them...and I found it much more fun to  experiment with being bald! If I had been bald during winter, I would have had a different hair colour every day :-)

Have fun with it! Bald definitely CAN be sexy!!
