HI. I too had a rather large seroma that pretty much took up the whole breast, hard as a rock and huge. That breast looked better than the other one. Haha ha. Lasted about 10 months (I think the radiation nuked the last of it LOL). My surgical team recommended not to drain it as they pretty much always recollect, get infected and if you can put up with the discomfort and let it reabsorb on its own it has a better cosmetic outcome than constant draining. The cording goes away with exercise. Mine took about 2months to get back to prety much normal. So I have finished all my treatments two weeks ago 10 months from whoa to go. Radiation burns are gone, seroma is all but gone, just a small bit right near the scar but that might be just hard scar tissue, and mild numbness just along the scar under my arm which is getting better all the time. I am pretty much looking and feeling the same as before this crap began. Except for the hot flushes YUK. Thank you chemo. All the best.
