Hi Amy. just read your story. I have been living with Advanced Breast Cancer for over 5 years now. Mine had just decided to throw a spanner in the works and a few new spots have shown up so I am having chemo for the first time since I was diagnosed. Apart from having to go into hospital for the mastectomy and reconstruction and also having 10 - 12 sessions of radiation on my sacrum, I have kept on doing exactly what I have always done. Same amount of work and activities, ie: karate,, tai chi and meditation.
Your head will probably be feeling pretty full at the moment. One of the things that I tend to do is write down how I am feeling, especially if I am feeling flat. You can write down any words you want to, you can say what you want about everything and everyone and just put everything out there. Then I save it to a jump drive and put it away. You don't offend anyone and it is such a relief to get everything you are feeling out of your system. A couple of times I have read over some of my earlier notes and it is amazing to see how you were originally going and how far you have actually come.
I just want to wish you all the best with your treatments and stop by here for a chat anytime. There is always someone around to write back or organise a chat. Take care and good luck.
Tracey xx
