Hi Kerri
Thank you for your advice. I certainly hope I can get to 5 years. I must admit when I was told I thought my life was over. I thought oh no I'm not going to see my young adult children get married and have children. I feel I have come to better terms with those thoughts now. I still find myself crying if something triggers them off but it's getting less often now. Generally I am positive except during the bad days after the chemo. It just takes so much out of me.
Today was a great day, I went out for the first time to do some scrapbooking with a friend. I really needed this to feel normal again. I took my pillow for the chair as the bones ache a bit where the mets are but otherwise I did ok. :)
I have noticed my face can go quite pink, did/does anyone else's face go bright red with their treatment ? I'm not sure if it is something I need to tell my oncologist.
I received my hopes and hurdles pack yesterday. I am about half way through reading it and am finding it very interesting. This is going to sound a bit bizarre too but I loved reading all the ladies comments but they made me cry. I was in the section about finding out the diagnosis and I think I was quite emotional because it's only been a few weeks since I found out.
I hope I have few good days this week as I'm due for my next chemo on Thursday. I know I have to do it but ohhhhh how I'm dreading those days after it.
I hope you have a great week.
Christine
