second week

I am now waiting...my journey kit arrived and I can't believe what a wonderful resource it is. I feel supported and the comments give me hope. In a strange way it makes me feel special. See the surgeon next week and from the readings I have done that's when I will feel the force of it..is that true?....

  •  I am now starting to surface after my diagnosis and feel in a better head space. One day at a time is now just waiting for my surgery.... I plan to enjoy the spring weather

  • Yes, I would like to say welcome also...

Just remember, you are NOT alone - you never have to be with this site full of helpful people who have gone through, or are going through similarly to you.

It is a shock to your system, your body, and your emotional well being. For me my body just packed up on me a week after my diagnosis. I couldn't get out of bed to help myself.

So just remember that Leonie's advice is the best I think - take one day at a time. And this was told to me often.

I wish you well, and hope you will find the answers you are looking for - don't be afraid to ask...someone will have the right one for  you.

  • Thank you 'pink sister' - your post is the last thing I have read tonight and its heart warming. Mousex

  • Sorry to hear that you have "joined the pink sisters".  We are a nice mob though - always there for each other with no judgements. Best advice I received was take one day at a time.  It has been very useful to me on both occasions of bc diagnosis.  Depending on what type of person you are - I am a person who likes to know everything there is to be known - you will work out a "plan of attack" in way of questions for your medical team. If you can't get answers, please come on line and there is always someone who has had the same situation willing to assist you.  Best wishes to you on your journey. XLeonie
