Go back to rhe GP as he can send you elsewhere... just because that giy has a relationshio with your surgeon that does not mean everyone else does.
I know sometimes radiation causes cysts sommaybe they think that is what has happened in this case
I completely get your concern thiugh so do follow through until you feel right course.of action is taken
