Second Chemo
I seem to be coping pretty well with the chemo so far.
The second round of chemo was a bit different. I had to give myself an injection (!) called Neulasta the day after I had the chemo. I wasn't ...
It is depressing losing your hair, isn't it? I found that more difficult than losing my breast (and a lot of my friends couldn't understand that!). I think as a woman, your hair is so much a part of who you are. When man loses his hair it is considered quite normal and no-one thinks anything of it but when a woman loses hers it really says "I'm sick". At least we can console ourselves that it always grows back once the chemo stops, even if it does take some time.
Try to stay positive June - I'm sure you will conquer this horrible disease! Just remember that a good frame of mind helps. I hope the Neulasta helped this time too and that you didn't end up in hospital again.
Keep in touch,
Louise :)
