Second Chemo
I seem to be coping pretty well with the chemo so far.
The second round of chemo was a bit different. I had to give myself an injection (!) called Neulasta the day after I had the chemo. I wasn't ...
Hi June,
Same thing happened to me after my first chemo. Was in hospital for 4days with 2 lots of strong antibiotics running in an iv.It was so difficult because they placed the iv in the middle of my right arm so couldn't bend it. Hardly any staff around so had to fend for myself! This happened back in July(6mths ago).I am now on Tamoxifen and STILL waiting for abit more hair before I go "topless".For me,losing my hair was the pits.I coped for a little while but after 2mths and still bald,I became depressed. My hair started to appear at around 3mths and I now have about 1-2cms thin covering of grey hair- I was dark blonde before. My wardrobe is bulging with head gear.As time's gone on I've become an expert at covering and co ordinating for winter AND summer! My hair growth has taken ALOT longer than I expected. This makes it hard to move on because people still look at you with pity. Well I hope you sail through the next round and there are lots of lovely ladies here to offer support.
